Diedenacker Number 1

About this bottle

Originating from Luxembourg, one of Europe's smallest nations, Diedenacker Number One is a blend of malted barley and rye distillates aged for five years in ex-Pinot Blanc wine barrels. Diedenacker Distillery, primarily known for fruit eaux-de-vie, began producing whisky in 2005 as a secondary venture, now producing one 225-liter barrel annually of a rye/malt blend. All components, from grain to barrel, are sourced locally around the Moselle Valley. Despite growing interest, Luxembourg's annual distillery production limits mean that 225 liters of whisky per year remains their set output. The whisky is bottled at 42% ABV.
