According to Dewar's website: "Created in collaboration with the USGA to celebrate the 121st US Open at Torrey Pines. Named "The Champions Edition," this bottle represents the US Open Motto: "From Many, One." A single champion blend emerges from numerous barrels. With a minimum age of 19 years and finished in former American Bourbon casks…it offers rich flavors of vanilla, honey, toffee, and ripe cherries." The notes from Dewar's are quite accurate. You can definitely discern rich honey, vanilla, toffee, and cherry notes. Adding some barrel spices, black tea, and ginger elements makes this a delightful whiskey.

I was at Costco and saw a few bottles of this on the shelf. Nothing else caught my eye, so I decided to try it on a whim. That said, it's an absolutely wonderful product. I was incredibly impressed by the quality of this 19-year-old. It's very smooth with a low ethanol presence, featuring excellent mid to upper tasting notes of caramel/toffee and vanilla, just as described on the packaging. I perceived more of a dried fruit flavor in addition to the aroma. At $49.95, I must go back and buy more; it's an absolute bargain at that price in today's market, considering what this offers.

It's rich, yet still a standard blend.
