Appearance: Amber color, highly viscous. Nose (with water): Sweet (chocolate, honey, caramel, burnt sugar), dark fruits (raisins, plums, apricots, dark berries), barley, damp oak. Palate (with water): A delightful sweet and woody spicy arrival, full-bodied, rich, oily, sweet (crème brûlée, caramel, chocolate, maple syrup, honey), fruity (plums, raisins, apricots), walnuts, dry oak. Finish: Medium to long, with a sweet-oaky-nutty aftertaste. Conclusion: A superb Sherry bomb! This Deanston 12 year old, distilled in 2008 and aged in Oloroso sherry casks, is a fine spirit, rich with complex sweetness, including notes of dried fruit and abundant honey. Highly recommended!

This is exceptional. For those who appreciate sherry, it's a must-try. I enjoy intensely sherried whiskies, and this one meets expectations. A very high-quality spirit with the finish I was seeking. Definitely pick this one up.
Enjoyable whiskey aged in sherry.
