(The Good Spirits Company, Glasgow - Virtual Whisky Tasting, Friday 14th August 2020). Smell: Herbal, vanilla, creamy, apple, and intensely honeyed. Pine nut & walnut notes present. Taste: Initially hot. Oily, peppery, smoky, and woody. Quite fruity (apple & lemon). Alcohol is prominent, with significant wood influence. Aftertaste: Sour, smooth, biscuity, buttery. Adding water introduces a citrus note and enhances the buttery qualities. Overall, while not intricate, this is a rather enjoyable dram. It holds up well for its young age. I am curious to discover their future releases. This tied for last place among the six whiskies sampled, receiving 0% of the vote for favorite.
