Rashad Lloyd 3.3

Nose: Floral/heather, honey, lemon pledge, vanilla, pear, cream, summer berries. Palate: Pears, citrus, orange, dry sherry, vanilla, salted caramel. Wisps of smoke. Finish: Medium finish. Light smoke, nutty, apple and pears, leather. There's a nice spicy edge on the finish with notes of cinnamon and white pepper. This is a NAS whisky, however the age of the spirit is at least 9 years old. All casks used are air dried. Maturation uses ex-bourbon casks where the bourbon has sat for a 3 year period. Finishing casks: 60% ex-bourbon, 25% Oloroso sherry, 15% virgin North American oak. This is a very well balanced whisky. Lots of interesting layers, moving through fruit, vanilla, spices and smoke. Very moreish, a bit of a session dram. Came 4th out of the five drams (the new make spirit wasn’t included in the vote), with 6% of the final vote for favorite of the night. 81% of those present said they enjoyed the whisky.

Jasmine Rocha 3.5

Nose: pungent, earthy, stony, dried grass Palate: mirrors the nose initially, then a touch of sugary flavor develops Finish: lingering, oaken, saccharine, arid, timbery, hints of nuttiness

Cindy Roberson 3.5

Mild peat, vanilla, and oak on the aroma. Spice and mild caramel on the palate. Medium finish.

Brandon Flynn 4.0

Notes of crème brûlée, scorched plastic, berries, apple, and a hint of flowers.

Leeann Merino 3.5

Enjoyable. Just a hint of smoke.
