Kendall Shen 3.8

Nose: Orchard fruits, malty, powdered sugar, grain. Palate: Cocoa, dried fruit like raisins, cranberries, and prunes, nutty notes, citrus. Finish: A moderately brief finish. Tastes of berries and cream, cacao, milk chocolate, with faint smoke. An orangey bitterness lingers. This expression offers a complex experience. The aroma is sweet and grainy, the taste features chocolate and fruit from the stout and Moscatel casks, and the conclusion presents berries and cream alongside the expected hints of smoke. The citrus flavors suggest it would excel in an Old Fashioned. It’s well-balanced and highly enjoyable – a superb drink. It ranked fifth among the sampled whiskies (excluding the unaged spirit), receiving no votes for the top selection. Eighty-one percent of attendees reported enjoying it.

Floral, herbaceous with juniper. Initially soft, with notes of orange marmalade, floral and herb. A bit sharp on the finish, with a strong juniper presence.
