Denny Clawson 3.0

Nose: Menthol, mint, forest floor, melon, orchard fruit/apples. Damp & musty Palate: Fruity - sour berries, pears, stewed apple, sweet, light peat smoke, black pepper Finish: Long finish. Musty, ashy, muddy. Loads of ash and char. Pepper, leather and tobacco This is not as peated as I'd expect from that distillery. There's a fruity sweetness throughout, but the peatiness is mostly absent apart from little wisps here and there, and a musty dry ashiness on the finish. Came joint last out of the six drams, with 0% of the final vote for favorite of the night. 91% of those present said they enjoyed the whisky. There were two stand out drams that dominated the voting, so some of the whiskies may have unfairly suffered as a result.
