Copperworks American Single Malt (Release No. 012)

Strong spice upfront with a bold, fiery character. However, a subsequent woody flavor strikes me as excessively strong and artificial, similar to the sweetness. It's a decent whiskey, but that finish is a letdown.

I'm not fond of the mash bill (100% Barley). It carries too much of a beer-like heaviness without any pleasing vanilla notes.

Vanilla and caramel aroma. fairly smooth. Lovely finish!

Smooth but burns the back of the throat - lingering heat.
