I’m a big rye fan and the other bottles from this distillery weren’t great. So I decided to try this just in case. Had this neat and let it rest. The aroma was spicy, wow, lots of spice. You could detect some sweetness too but mainly spice was coming through. The taste wasn’t great though. The spice continued with vanilla and cinnamon but it wasn’t enjoyable. It had too much of an alcohol flavor and the heat was high. The finish continued with the heat and spice. Overall, this was a rye I actually didn’t finish. It just wasn’t good. Ironically though, it was better than the other offerings from their brand, but that isn’t saying much. I wouldn’t suggest this bottle. Scale: 1

Would be considered a mixer. Lacks depth in flavor, pleasant aroma. The scent has notes of candy apple, spice, some tobacco, and malt. The malt dominates the taste with a bit of apple. Spice emerges in the finish and then fades, leaving no lasting impression. Very ordinary.
A lot of flavor right away. Sweet and spicy. Worth the 40$.
This makes a very good Manhattan.
Well-balanced. Smooth finish
