Copper & Kings the moons of juniper gin

The nose presents juniper and sage, with sweet floral honey notes. A burst of dry cardamom and spice hits the palate, accompanied by some honeyed sweetness. Juniper, wood, and allspice follow, leading to a finish of spicy nettles and wood. The mouthfeel is thick and viscous. It was not what I initially expected, but it has grown on me. The flavor profile is highly unusual, more akin to a specific botanical spirit than others, which I consider a positive. It's a spirit that might elicit a strong reaction, either love or hate, so allow it some time to develop before forming a final opinion. While it worked in a Negroni, it truly excels in a DeVoto Martini.

Overpowering juniper. I understand it's in the name, but beyond the typical juniper flavor, there's even more on the nose. It has a very evergreen and light character.

I appreciate the barrel-finished taste notes; this is incredibly pleasant in a Gin and Tonic.

So much juniper, it's delicious.
