It has aromas of honey and chocolate, with flavors of cinnamon and rubber. For me, the rubber taste indicates a whiskey bottled too early. This American single malt, bottled at 84 proof and purchased directly from the distillery, has an undisclosed age from the distiller. Based on the flavor, I'd estimate it's about 12 months old. Like many new distilleries, it was bottled prematurely. However, it shows potential with more aging. I'm eager to see them allow it to mature longer and release something with an age statement in about six to eight years.
