Clase Azul Tequila Añejo

I sampled this at a restaurant with companions. While not exceptionally complex, it was still remarkably enjoyable. It has a silky smooth texture and is easy to drink. The primary notes I detected were caramel, vanilla, and subtle woody characteristics. I've seen other reviews mention butterscotch and baking spices, and I can certainly understand those perceptions, though they are quite faint. This is something I would add to my collection for display and occasional personal sipping, but it's not outstanding enough to present to guests. As a bonus, I got to keep the bottle since I was the last one to drink from it.

Had the opportunity to try a serving of this superb tequila at a new local Mexican eatery in Myrtle Beach. The aroma presented traces of herbal and vanilla essences. The taste was delightful, revealing significant notes of herbal agave, earth, and concluding with a peppery finish. Its smoothness was striking and misleading, allowing the drinker to concentrate on and savor the tasting notes with great clarity. I can now comprehend why a serving cost $50 and a bottle sells for about $500.

A server in Tucson recommended this to me. My familiarity with tequila is quite limited. The nose presents banana, wood, a hint of Pinesol, and smoke. The taste is like Juicy Fruit gum with a mesquite-smoked finish. Quite delightful. I initially tried it with a large ice cube, then neat. I found it to be much more complex when consumed neat. A lovely serving!

Tequila sampling evening. My senses can't precisely differentiate between various tequilas beyond vanilla, caramel, oak, and agave notes. Additionally, this wasn't an occasion for profound thought, so my evaluations are based on my personal enjoyment. A very fine tequila.

Not as flavorful as the reposado. A bit strong for my liking, but a single rock smooths it out. Very reminiscent of whiskey, with prominent caramel and spice. Lacks floral notes.
