About this bottle
Cierto Tequila, meaning "true," is a 100% additive-free brand featuring estate-grown agave from Jalisco's Highlands. Master Distillers Enrique Fonseca and Sergio Mendoza, both from farming families, created these tequilas at La Tequileña Distillery in the town of Tequila. Each Private Collection bottling incorporates aged tequilas from Fonseca's private reserves. The Extra Añejo expression was primarily matured in French Limousin oak that previously held cognac and armagnac. It began appearing in select US markets in February 2023, with a broader national rollout throughout the year (SRP $279).
