Cierto Tequila is a brand that produces 100% additive-free tequilas, with "cierto" meaning "true." The agave used is estate-grown in Jalisco's Highlands. Master Distillers Enrique Fonseca and Sergio Mendoza, who are fourth and fifth-generation agave farmers, developed these tequilas, which were distilled at La Tequileña Distillery in the town of Tequila. This Blanco expression underwent a resting period before bottling. It began appearing in select US markets in February 2023, with a broader national rollout planned for throughout 2023. (SRP $89)

Fresh agave aroma with a trace of smoke, mint, young leather, and marshmallow. The initial taste is superb, presenting a round, creamy, and subtly peppery character. Notes of green pepper, salinity, wood tannins, and a hint of eucalyptus develop on the palate. A very extended finish leaves a desire for more expressive sips. Truly an impressive young tequila.
