Chicken Cock Bootlegger's Reserve Whiskey

An intense, unaged whiskey made by Matti Anttila for Grain & Barrel Spirits in Florida. Bootlegger’s Blend is exactly as it sounds — a mix of 40% Rye Whiskey & 60% Bourbon with an unknown mash bill from unidentifiable distilleries. The age and grain composition are not guaranteed, and in some places, this means it cannot legally be called 'Whiskey.' It starts delicately with notes of dried fruit, grain, mint & slightly spoiled peach; a spicy middle adds notes of sandalwood, baking spices, pepper & a touch of butterscotch; leading to a zesty & sharp end with notes of corn & rye. This is weak and tastes of herbs, almost like grass!

Sweet at first, then spicy at the end.
