Aroma - A really nice blend of oak and caramel with rye notes and some vanilla. Taste - Follows the aroma. There's a nuttiness that appears occasionally, along with a dark berry note. Overall - It's exceptionally good. The typical notes of vanilla, caramel, and oak are present, with a very slight hint of rye. The mouthfeel is definitely above average for 100 proof, coating the palate and feeling almost syrupy. The finish is the highlight. For a 100 proof spirit, the finish is long, with sweet notes of caramel and vanilla. It's a sweet whiskey and simply outstanding.
