This cachaça originates from Itatiaiaçu, Minas Gerais, a region known for its favorable climate for brandy production. Its development embodies the aspiration of many local producers to build a successful business and boost the regional economy. The producer initiated work on the still in 1999 but faced financial challenges, seeking partners who shared his vision. Cachaça Chapada das Geraes was finally launched in 2004 after considerable effort. Aged for two years in Amburana wood barrels, it displays a golden-yellow hue and offers aromatic, fruity, and woody notes, with hints of honey and orange blossom. It possesses a good mouthfeel, balanced acidity and sweetness, and well-integrated alcohol, leading to a finish of moderate length. (Source: Cachaçaria Nacional)
