About this bottle
The spirit from Cava de Oro is made using 100% blue weber agave, cultivated in Jalisco's Los Altos (Highlands) and Tequila Valley areas. Maestro Tequilero Gildardo Partida Melendrez oversees production at Tequila Puerta de Hierro Distillery (NOM 1477). Following a double distillation in traditional pot stills, the reposado matures for 6 months in French white oak barrels, not American oak. For distribution within Mexico, it is known as Cava de Oro; when sent to the US and Canada, it is branded as "Gran Cava de Oro."
