Catoctin Creek Watershed Gin

This is truly awful, with a flavor like actual medicine. I prefer straightforward gins, such as Hendricks. This gin is labeled as "modern" and "unique," yet it's among the most repulsive things I've ever tasted. I would happily pay the same cost for a 1.75L bottle of Citadelle, which I could actually use without issue in my drinks. Catoctin is POISONOUS and completely revolting. A total rip-off for the cost. I will never purchase it again.

Tasted at VA ABC store 212. This is somewhat chaotic. Juniper is prominent, supported by a couple of other botanicals, but aging in a rye barrel imparts an undesirable hay-like character and spice. Not recommended. 6/21/19
