The aroma is that warm, familiar George Dickel profile, but less intense than the George Dickel we enjoy – though it's not weak and possesses a sweet fruitiness with noticeable warmth, making it enjoyable and easy to drink; The palate is also a bit lighter and fruitier than, for example, the George Dickel 12 – but again, it's not weak and has a pleasant, moderately complex flavor profile of fruit and grain sweetness; The finish is a fairly quick sweep across the palate and the only place oak is truly apparent.

It still definitely possesses the distinct Tennessee whisky taste and flavor. At first, I wasn't entirely sure it was what I had hoped for and expected. However, as I read in some reviews, it improved with each sip. In my opinion, it had a slight heat initially but was truly smooth by the end of the finish. I will continue to evaluate with each pour.
