Carpano Classico Rosso, a sweet vermouth first introduced in the early 1900s, obtains its red-amber hue from caramelized sugar, similar to Carpano Antica Formula, though the grapes used are white. This vermouth is less intense than Antica Formula and is bottled at 16% ABV.

Harmonious notes of absinthe and citrus. The toasted sugar element isn't overwhelming. The outcome is a superb vermouth at a reasonable cost - at least in Italy. Excellent enjoyed neat, over ice with an orange twist, or in cocktails.
