I'm not too familiar with calvados, but I didn't enjoy this one very much. Straight, it is crisp and extremely dry. Notes of apple, pear, tiny hints of honey with larger notes of hay, ending in a slightly spicy but mostly dry finish. The drink becomes much more appealing on the rocks, almost as if the water releases some sweetness from the drink.
