Vargem Grande Cachaça is a quality Brazilian spirit, handcrafted in Araçuaí, Vale do Jequitinhonha, a traditional cachaça region in the State of Minas Gerais. The sugar cane used is of excellent origin, grown without pesticides, unaffected by fires during harvest, and planted on suitable land, resulting in a well-defined, regional character. Fermentation of the must occurs naturally with airborne yeast, without artificial substances. Distillation is performed in a copper still, mirroring the methods used for the world's finest spirits. After slow production, it ages in oak barrels for at least 12 months, developing a distinct bouquet appreciated by discerning drinkers. Vargem Grande Ouro 750ml is an artisanal cachaça from Minas Gerais aged in oak for a year. It has 42% alcohol and a golden yellow hue. Source: Cachaçaria Nacional.
