This label is a contract distillation from a well-regarded still in Minas Gerais. On a modest farm near Fernão Dias highway, in Perdões, southern Minas, a humble individual with grand visions started producing cachaça 35 years ago. His efforts brought the entire family into the business, leading to the creation of Cachaça João Mendes. Every step presented challenges, from mastering cachaça production and tending to the sugarcane to acquiring machinery and navigating the beverage industry. During this journey, Mr. João Mendes, with his straightforward nature and insight, emphasized that all creations must progress, convey principles, and remain connected to their origins. Presently, João's sons manage the enterprise, dedicated to upholding their father's lessons.
