CACHAÇA SECULO XVIII INOX AZUL

The brand originates from a distillery in Coronel Xavier Chaves, Minas Gerais, established by a colonel who was the great-grandson of Antonia Rita da Encarnação Xavier, Tiradentes' younger sister. In this small town, approximately 20 km from Tiradentes, stands Engenho Boa Vista, reputed to be Brazil's oldest continuously operating cachaça mill, founded in 1775. Tradition holds that the still was once located on the property of Tiradentes' elder brother, Father Domingo da Silva Xavier. Currently, Rubens Chaves, a descendant of the colonel for whom the town is named, owns the mill. For about 30 years, the family has upheld a 7-generation tradition of producing cachaça using time-honored methods. Cachaça Século XVIII, bottled in 670ml, is aged for one year in stainless steel barrels. With an alcohol content of 48%, this spirit is harmonious, presenting a noticeable yet not overpowering alcohol aroma reminiscent of the initial fermentation stage of sugarcane juice.
