Crafted in the Santa Rita de Caldas area, southern Minas Gerais, this Cachaça Prosa Mineira emerged in 2010 after extensive development, possessing distinct sensory qualities. The entire artisanal cachaça process occurs in the still, with the producer overseeing all aspects, including carefully selecting the core ingredient: sugar cane. For this reason, the still features a nursery for seedlings and plantings. The maturation of the sugar cane for optimal brix (sugar content) for fermentation, combined with favorable climate and soil, significantly impacts the final cachaça. Cachaça Prosa Mineira Amburana Ouro 670ml spends two years aging in amburana barrels, a traditional Brazilian wood imparting a remarkable, pronounced flavor, lending the spirit subtle woody and sweet undertones. With 39% alcohol, this distilled beverage is attracting a growing following, notably including many women. Its name reflects the colonial era, when ranchers and cowboys, after their day's work or to ward off the region's severe winter chill, would consume cachaça to warm up and unwind while playing guitar with companions.
