Given the significant climate shifts, with unpredictable periods of drought and rainfall, Destom has implemented a strategy utilizing sugarcane as an energy reserve to mitigate extended dry spells. This approach has enabled an increase in the number of animals per unit of pasture area. Consequently, establishing the distillery became a logical step to complete the sustainability cycle on the farm in Faria Lemos, Minas Gerais, within this integrated system of beef cattle, sugarcane, and cachaça. The producers initiated the project in 2014, employing a high-tech distillation method. Cachaça Primeira de Minas Silver 750ml is a beverage aged in stainless steel tanks. This white cachaça is light, with an alcohol content of 39%.
