The owner comes from a cachaça-producing family and dedicated their studies to the art of making the spirit. They are a professor at the Federal Institute of Northern Minas Gerais (IFNMG) – Campus Salinas, teaching subjects in the Cachaça Production Technology course, the only higher education program in the country focused on the drink. In 2009, they began setting up their own business to apply this knowledge. Seven years later, Premissa launched and is now recognized by many as one of the best cachaças in Salinas, solidifying its status as a high-quality brand wherever it goes. Cachaça Premissa Tradicional Bálsamo 6 Years Old is aged for six years in balsam barrels, a typically Brazilian wood. It's delicate due to 6 years in wood, but has an alcohol content of 42%. With a mild flavor, it has intense herbaceous aromas. The greenish-yellow appearance comes from the cerrado wood. The difference between Premissa Classica and Premissa Tradicional is the time spent aging in the wood (Brazilian Balsam). Premissa Clássica ages for 3 years and is more intense and potent. Premissa Tradicional is aged for 6 years and is more delicate and elegant. Source: Cachaçaria Nacional.
