Given the unpredictable weather patterns with fluctuating droughts and rainfall, Destom implemented a strategy utilizing sugarcane as an energy reserve for prolonged dry spells. This allowed for an increase in the number of animals per unit of pasture land. From there, establishing the distillery and completing the farm's sustainability cycle in Faria Lemos, Minas Gerais, became a natural progression, fostering a synergy between beef cattle, sugarcane, and cachaça. The producers initiated this high-tech distillery project in 2014. Cachaça 1000 Montes Super Bruta 700ml is aged in stainless steel barrels.
