The name Luar da Mantiqueira emerged organically, intended as a tribute to the mountain range where he grew up and often celebrated under the moon. The name was decided before the first bottle. Production emphasizes patience and proper steps: suitable fermentation and slow distillation, which the producer describes as "stillage without rushing," carefully removing the heads and tails to keep only the essential spirit. Now working with a chemical engineer, the brand is expanding without compromising its core values—focusing on quality over quantity. It rests for a year in French oak and then a year in balsam wood. Cachaça Luar da Mantiqueira Bálsamo presents a very mellow scent with notes of freshness and herbs.
