Granfina Cachaça originated in the 1950s on the Campo Novo farm, owned by Colonel Epaminondas Cunha Melo. In 2000, WM Agropecuária LTDA. acquired the assets and brand name, relocating it to Rancho Morada Nova in Jequitinhonha, Minas Gerais. Cachaça Granfina Ouro, a 700ml bottle, is aged in oak barrels.
