The story of Famosinha de Minas and Santuário de Minas began in 1998 at Agro Pastoril Paraopeba Limitada in Paraopeba/MG. Master blender Armando Del Bianco oversaw the production of these cachaças, which quickly gained recognition for their quality. Thales Paiva, the owner of both brands, moved production to various locations in Minas Gerais. After a period in Januária, production shifted to Cachaça Serra da Boa Esperança in Campo Gerais, and later to Papagaios. Famosinha de Minas gained a special touch with the inclusion of a photo of Thales Paiva's mother on her wedding day, making the cachaça more emblematic for the family. In early 2023, production of Famosinha de Minas and Santuário de Minas cachaças commenced at the Siriema distillery in Jequitibá/MG, also owned by Ouro I. This new phase involved laboratory analysis by the Federal University of Lavras, confirming the extremely high quality of the brands' products. Famosinha de Minas Cachaça is aged for one year in amburana barrels and has a 42% alcohol content. It originated from Thales Paiva's desire to establish a renowned brand in Minas. Consequently, the producer chose to honor his mother, the most important person in his life, by featuring her wedding day photograph on the cachaça label. It presents a yellow color with aromatic, fruity notes, sugarcane sweetness, and a woody character. Source: Cachaçaria Nacional.
