Produced in Pureza, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, Extrema artisanal cachaça has a production capacity of 500,000 liters annually. It was the first organic cachaça in the state in 2010, certified by the Biodynamic Institute for Rural Development. It has won 5 awards for Sustainability and Social Responsibility, Gold medals at the 1st Cachaça de Pipa Festival, and a Silver medal at the 2022 Spirits and Wine Competition. Extrema differentiates itself with its own sugarcane fields and artisanal production process, free of chemicals. Advanced water application, high-capacity genetic materials, and innovative cultivation optimize resources and preserve the environment for a unique product. Extrema Prata is aged 12 months in jequitibá barrels, while Extrema Ouro rests in balsam, umburana, and oak for an average of 12 months each, not as a blend. Production involves rapid grinding of fresh sugarcane, natural fermentation, and distillation in copper stills using only the 'Coração' fraction. It has an alcohol content of 39%, with herbal, toffee, and woody notes, plus sugarcane sweetness. Information from the Cachaça Extrema website.
