This cachaça was produced by Sô Nicó, still located in Dores do Turvo, Minas Gerais. The owner of Estrela da Serra lacks their own still, so they contracted Sô Nicó to produce their cachaça, label, and brand. Cachaça So Nico has been crafted with care and dedication for 38 years, a tradition passed down from grandfather to grandson, maintained artisanally with strict quality controls to ensure excellence for connoisseurs. Sugarcane is grown and manually harvested on the farm itself. After milling, the juice undergoes natural fermentation without chemical additives, a key factor contributing to the cachaça's quality and flavor. Distillation in a copper still concludes the production process, followed by aging in premium wood barrels. Cachaça Estrela da Serra Premium Carvalho is aged in oak barrels for 3 years, resulting in an amber color and complex aromas and flavors. With 42% alcohol content, the drink offers notes and aromas of dried fruits and vanilla, with a sweet and velvety taste.
