Cachaça Engenho São Luiz's history began in 1906 when José Zillo and his siblings established the distillery in the Rocinha area of Lençóis Paulista, São Paulo. Production continued under Gino Zillo, José's brother, until 1971. Years later, in 2007, Luiz Santana Zillo, José's grandson, and his children resurrected the family tradition by creating Engenho São Luiz. From its inception, Engenho São Luiz was meticulously designed for still cachaça production, employing strictly controlled processes and limited output to ensure exceptional quality. Two years later, the initial harvest for the new phase of distillery production commenced. 2014 marked a high point: Engenho São Luiz exported its first drink internationally, sending Cachaça Augusta to New York City. Cachaça Engenho São Luiz Premium Amendoim is an unflavored spirit with a short time in Amendoim barrels, a traditional Brazilian wood. It's light, with 42% alcohol by volume. Balanced, it features a slightly sweet, fruity aroma and well-integrated alcohol. Obtained from Cachaçaria Nacional.
