Details regarding this cachaça are scarce, with only details about its production still mentioned. The creator of Duas Barras cachaça specifically chose the Gogó da Ema still in Alagoas for its production. Regarding the Gogó da Ema still, its proprietor is engineer Waldir Ferreira Tenório. He completed a Cachaça production program at the Federal University of Lavras in Minas Gerais and established his still, commencing the creation of premium cachaça in São Sebastião, Alagoas, in 2004. In 2006, he advanced the venture by studying packaging, labels, and brand identity for his cachaça. A few months thereafter, in October of that same year, the brand "Cachaça Gogó da Ema" was finalized, adopting the historic "Gogó da Ema" coconut tree as its cultural and tourist emblem of Alagoas. Following the complete legal proceedings, product distribution and sales from Alambique Gogó da Ema commenced solely in 2009. Since 2008, his son, Henrique Tenório, has been overseeing operations. This still manufactures cachaça on demand, with Cachaça Duas Barras being one such product. Sensory evaluation: transparent appearance, notes of sugarcane sweetness, floral hints, vegetal character, well-balanced alcohol, and a moderate finish.
