Cachaça production began in 1850 at Fazenda São Luiz, in Leme do Prado, in the Jequitinhonha Valley, North of Minas Gerais, a region renowned for producing Brazil's finest cachaças. That year, Captain Barroso, as everyone called him, started producing a very high-quality cachaça, which was named Dama da Noite by his grandson, Geraldo Barroso. The name refers to a flower that emits a delightful fragrance after dark. The family's love for cachaça and obsession with quality drove them to constantly strive for improvement. Cachaça Dama da Noite Jatobá 700ml is aged for two years in Jatobá barrels. Light, the alcohol is well-integrated and doesn't seem like 40% ABV. It has the right amount for those who want to enjoy a good drink. Source: Cachaçaria Nacional.
