The story begins in 1850 at Fazenda São Luiz, in Leme do Prado, northern Minas Gerais' Jequitinhonha Valley, a region renowned for producing Brazil's finest cachaças. That year, known universally as Captain Barroso, started crafting a very high-quality cachaça, which his grandson, Geraldo Barroso, named Dama da Noite. The name honors a flower known for its delightful evening fragrance. The Barroso family's dedication to cachaça and obsession with quality drove them to continuously enhance this uniquely flavored spirit. Cachaça Dama da Noite Carvalho is aged for four years in oak barrels. It is light, with 40% alcohol by volume that isn't sensorially apparent. It has a golden yellow color, with aromas of fruit, dried fruits, a hint of almond, caramel, and sugar, along with balanced acidity and alcohol. It's perfectly suited for those who appreciate well-aged cachaça in oak barrels. Source: Cachaçaria Nacional.
