Layne Schmitt 3.5

In 2014, country singer Leonardo launched the CD and DVD titled Cabaré. Following the album's success, the Cachaça Cabaré brand was established, featuring a 38% ABV drink. This distillate is a collaboration between the musician and the Dom Tápparo mill in Mirassol, São Paulo. The still that produces Cachaça Cabaré is named Don Tapparo. It originated from Mr. José Tápparo's initiative in 1978 to produce cachaça for personal use and as gifts. The drink was so well-received that enthusiasts began seeking to purchase it, leading him to identify a business opportunity. Over time, with his sons Ademílson and Carlos joining the business, the mill expanded, producing various types of cachaça, alcoholic cocktails, and liqueurs. The third generation of the Tápparo family is now involved. All cachaça production, from sugar cane planting to grinding and distillation, occurs on the family property. Aging takes place in European and American oak barrels, along with other woods like amburana and peanut wood. Aged for 6 months in peanut wood barrels, which impart no color, it results in a light cachaça with a noticeable but balanced alcohol content and natural sugar cane sweetness, perfect for cocktails like the "caipirinha".
