This Cachaça is produced by a cooperative of distillers in the Abaíra region of Bahia. For over two centuries, farmers in the Abaíra Microregion have been crafting Abaíra Cachaça. It holds national recognition as a Brazilian cachaça IP (a geographical indication registered with the government). Abaíra Cachaça Ouro is aged in wood, presenting woody and sweet aromas with a smooth taste and integrated alcohol that belies its 42% ABV. This spirit is aged in European oak barrels for three years, resulting in a yellowish appearance. Source: Cachaçaria Nacional.
