Salted meats and bacon on the nose. Some salty air. The aroma doesn't quite carry through fully onto the palate. Less bacon, more dark fruits and brine. I only had a dram from a sample I purchased, but nothing about this suggests any desire to rush out and buy a bottle. Instead, get the 18 for less money, with more complexity and flavor.

Reminds me of Bowmore Tempest but less refined. It's still very tasty and skillfully made. The smoke, antiseptic notes, and sherry component harmonize well. I approve.
