About this bottle

The third bottling in The Rare Casks line, introduced in 2020, this single malt is the second release under new Master Blender Alex Thomas. It consists of 100% unpeated Irish malted barley, triple-distilled on October 31, 1991. Following an initial 13-year and 4-month aging period in bourbon and sherry casks, the whiskeys were combined and transferred to first-fill Madeira wine casks in 2005 for their final maturation. Bottled at 49% ABV without chill-filtration, it was available for pre-order in December 2022 at Flaviar.com, with a suggested retail price of $999.99.
