The nose is spectacular with fruit and sugars. Pineapple, peaches, mango, banana, orange zest, lemon zest, vanilla pod, butterscotch, and toasted caramel are all present. On the palate, the sugars hit immediately, coating the roof of the mouth, the tongue, and teeth. Salivation is almost instantaneous, causing the want, no, the need for the next sip. A perfect offering for an after-dinner drink to sip and reflect on the day's events. It should be 20 proof points higher, and this would be on my all-time favorites list. Interestingly, this is not legally classified as "rum," and the label doesn't state it as such, despite the brand name. Based on limited research, its classification is unclear, but it's not rum. That said, it's excellent in certain mixed drinks, exhibiting intense sweetness with prominent banana and molasses notes. It pairs well with fig and lime. The vanilla aroma is very strong, reminiscent of a bakery turned into a perfumery.

This rum from Barbados, following a 17th-century sailor's formula, spends up to 15 years maturing in used Kentucky Bourbon barrels. It greets you with aromas of caramel, vanilla from Madagascar, and a touch of oak. Its robust character offers flavors of chocolate, banana, fire, and cinnamon, concluding with a lingering sweetness of toasted nuts, allspice, and herbs. Harvested / Stored: May / November 2018

Extremely sweet, truly reminiscent of a dessert, with a very smooth texture. It's light and tropical, but perhaps overly sweet for some. Smell: candy-like bananas, buttered pancakes with syrup, a hint of cinnamon. Taste: very sweet, primarily vanilla and bananas initially, opening to caramel, with subtle notes of dried mango and apricots on the finish. Aftertaste: medium duration, the sweetness persists, especially the banana and caramel flavors.

Not a big rum fan, but I really liked this one. I like the color, which is almost like whiskey. The nose gave me notes of vanilla and banana. The taste was about the same with a hint of caramel. I don't think you can add enough O's to the word s-o-o-o-o-o-o-o sweet. If you can find this rum, I highly recommend it; it's very drinkable on its own.

It's a deep amber with a powerful scent of vanilla and circus peanut candies. The taste is heavy on circus peanut candy banana flavor and vanilla, with additional notes of caramel and pineapple. It's rather sweeter and more suitable for mixed drinks, offering significant complexity to a mixed drink compared to most spice rums.
