Connacht Whiskey Company introduced Brothership in time for St. Patrick's Day 2017. This whiskey honors the connection between two sister distilleries: Connacht Distillery in Ballina, Ireland, and New Liberty Distillery in Philadelphia. Master distiller Robert Cassell created the blend by combining sourced 10-year-old Irish pot-still whiskey with sourced 10-year-old American whiskey in a 52% to 48% ratio, bottling the result at 45% ABV.

A touch of honey with a rather floral aroma. A little vanilla. Quite thick, with almost muted pickle brine in the background. Sweetness of dried cherries on top, with oak. A hint of spice in the finish.
Good whisky with interesting character, worth trying. It stood out, but not enough to earn a 4-star rating on my initial tasting.
Pleasant enough. Easy to drink. Not particularly unique.
