Released to commemorate the distillery's 35th anniversary, this whiskey is a blend of spirits aged between 3 and 7 years. All components were double distilled in Alambic pot stills from beer ready for bottling, with two of these beers custom-brewed by Bear Republic for Charbay. The blend consists of 50% 3-year-old single malt, 30% 7-year-old aged stout whiskey, and 20% 3-year-old aged pilsner whiskey. Maturation occurred in French and American oak. Lot No. 1 had a production run of 660 cases and became available in spring 2018.

Abundant sherry and raisin notes on the nose. Evokes a less intense version of Westland's sherry barrel whiskey. The distinction here is that this spirit is smoother, less sweet, and generally more agreeable. Delightfully rich and reminiscent of butterscotch.
A whiskey from California. Uniquely, they first made beer and then distilled the beer itself. Furthermore, they mixed three types of beer. Upon my first taste, I didn't think it was whiskey. It felt more like Calvados or Cognac. It's entirely different in character from existing whiskeys. A very peculiar whiskey.
This is the most agreeable whiskey I've encountered.
