Appearance: tawny, thin, many legs Smell: caramel, butterscotch, hints of nail polish remover Taste: silky texture on the palate like water with a faint whisper of vanilla, then a surge of spice Aftertaste: warm, then empty... a tingling that makes you wonder "where the hell did all the flavor go?"... followed by a lingering taste of shoeleather. Summary: looks lovely, drinks very smooth, tastes unexpectedly dull beyond the spicy tingle.

Boston Harbor Distillery's Two-Row Pale Malt Blend Wheat American Whiskey, twice distilled and aged in used barrels, presents a well-rounded profile. Its aroma offers vanilla bean, gingerbread, and spice. The palate introduces more gingerbread, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla custard, and orange. The finish is syrupy, featuring butter and spices.
I concur with fellow tasters regarding its youth. However, I believe that’s intentional. The aroma is quite captivating, presenting a scent reminiscent of holiday baking spices. Think nutmeg, cinnamon, and similar notes. I acquired it as part of a sampler and am pleased with that decision. I don’t think I’d purchase a full bottle. It could potentially shine in a festive cocktail. It’s almost like a spiced rum, yet possesses the robust character of a whiskey.
These whiskies are interesting but seem too young. It does smell like a stout with ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and chocolate. It's spicy like cinnamon candies. This would be excellent in a festive cocktail.
Sweet aroma with cinnamon. The flavor is intriguing, almost medicinal? Worth a taste occasionally. Ah, it's ginger I'm detecting.
Spicy at first, followed by a pleasant, dry, and sweet lingering aftertaste.
