About this bottle

This whisky is named in honor of William "Blue" Hanger, a devoted 18th-century customer of the bottlers, Berry Bros. & Rudd, known for his fondness for the color blue. Blue Hanger was first bottled in the 1930s for diplomatic exports and reappeared in 2003 under the guidance of Berry Bros. spirits manager Doug McIvor. The blend consists of "one butt of Bunnahabhain 1987, one hogshead of Bunna Moine 2007, Mortlach 1997 and Bunnahabhain 1988, two hogsheads of Westport 1996, and three butts of a 2007 blended malt comprised of Bunnahabhain, Glenallachie, Glenfarclas, Glengoyne and Tamdhu."

Nikita Lo

Some of the spirit in this bottle is over 25 years old. It requires some time in the glass to fully reveal its complexity. A few drops of water enhance sweetness and Glenmorangie (Westport) characteristics.

Reese Jacques 3.0

Lightly smoky, nutty, and light on the palate.
