From a non-store selection, 114.8 proof, 10 years old. Nose: caramel, nutty, alcohol, woody Palate: cloves, peanuts, smooth caramel Finish: It lingers for a while, tasting similar to the palate flavors, and concludes with a taste reminiscent of cough syrup.
8/10. An 11 Year selection from Kenwood Liquors. The aroma has notes of bubblegum, vanilla, and cherry. It offers a deep, rich molasses MGP flavor. Vanilla and maple are present, with a good level of heat. A pleasant burn on the finish with oak and caramel notes.
Worked exceptionally well in a maple old fashioned. I used a generous amount of bourbon, and it remained smooth with no burn, making me want another.
The nose has a medicinal quality, but the flavor is exceptional and complex. The finish is pleasant. The flavor surpasses the nose. A solid bourbon.
Less intense heat than anticipated for a cask strength. Notes of creamy vanilla and dried fruit are present.
