On the nose, a potent caramel candy sensation, alongside a robust character – a spicy, peppery feel with grassy notes. On the palate, the sweet caramel and vanilla are swiftly overtaken by a strong peppery intensity. A very strong alcoholic presence, more akin to a lightly spiced Balkan brandy/rakia than whiskey. With added water, significant vanilla emerges, but again accompanied by hot black pepper. It's evident the spirit is young. The finish is lengthy and warm, featuring sweet baked caramel and refined vanilla.
