Bird Dog Small Batch Bourbon (Treeing Walker Coonhound)

This wasn't a good one; you can find much better options for less money. On the nose, it primarily smells like young greens with a subtle hint of sweet corn. The taste is peculiar. It's certainly peppery, but all the other flavors are jumbled. You can definitely do better than this.

The initial aroma is strongly of oak, which then softens to citrus notes. It's very sweet at the start, like smooth honey and oranges with subtle spices. The finish is of medium length, providing a peppery kick along with the continuing citrus flavor.

A potent alcohol aroma, with minimal olfactory character. On the palate, there's a touch of pepper that quickly dissipates. It exceeded my expectations; I selected it based on its appearance while browsing the lower shelves.

I concur that this possesses a less complex body. It's decent but not exceptional. The nose is pleasing, and the finish is smooth and enjoyable.

Unremarkable and generic. However, the milk chocolate and orange notes add some interest. If only it had more body.

Offers a distinct flavor profile, more fruity and spicy than other bourbons I have encountered. Highly recommended.
